Atelier Magic Lao Carpets works with a number of interior decorators, designers and carpet stores to create unique custom hand-made carpets for their collections and clients.
Quiet a few of our general customers who visit our atelier and showroom also prefer to order a bespoke design carpet that uniquely fits the décor of their home.

What type of custom design order would you like to inquire about?
For custom carpet design orders you will need to upload a high resolution image of your design, and to do that you must be logged in to your account.

To place a custom order for one of our carpets, start by choosing a carpet you want to customize in our Showroom.
On the carpet details page you will see a Request Quote button – click on it to specify your custom carpet size, colour alterations and other details and submit your inquiry. We will then review the customisations you request and prepare a custom quotation for you.
You pick the design (or provide your own design*), the size of the carpet, and specify any colour changes you want to implement (e.g. colour of the background or specific elements of the carpet design) – and submit all this information to us using the form on this page.
We review your request and provide you with an initial quote for the work and time estimates.
You accept the quote, which constitutes you and us entering into a contract. You organise the necessary deposit as per accepted quote.
Upon receiving the deposit, our designer will start working on the knot layout charts for your custom carpet design and size.
Please note that in case of your own carpet design, this stage may take considerable time – up to several months, depending on the complexity of your design and your chosen carpet size – because the knots layout for the whole carpet will have to be designed from scratch.
When completed, we will share the digital image of the carpet layout with you for confirmation.
In the meantime, we work with you to finalise the colours in your carpet as well as any other necessary design details.
This stage may involves us sending you colour samples, and may also include us weaving parts of the carpet as a trial (especially true if the carpet is of your own design).
After the knot layout diagram is complete and the colours and other details of the carpet design are finalised, we will proceed with hand-weaving your carpet.
We will keep you updated on the progress of your carpet via email and will share photos with you on a regular basis.
When close to finishing the weaving of your carpet, we will finalise the delivery/shipping arrangements with you, and provide you with the final invoice.
Upon the settlement of the invoice, we will pack the carpet for shipping and prepare the necessary export/import documents required by the customs regulations of the destination country, if necessary. We will keep updating you on the progress via email.
Finally, we ship the carpet to you, and you and generations after enjoy it.
