Our carpets and flat-woven rugs (kilims) are hand-made from natural silk in our atelier in Vientiane. We use natural dyes for the silk yarn, unless the carpet design uses colours that can’t be obtained from natural sources. We use cotton warps and silk wefts, and asymmetrical knots for most of our pile carpets.
We make all our carpets to order. You can place an order for any carpet you see here in our showroom and we will weave it for you. It usually takes about 16 weeks to knot a pile carpet of 120 x 160 cm (3’11” x 6’3″) size; longer for large and complex designs. Time estimates for each carpets are shown on their product pages, where you can also place an order for one.
We also accept custom orders for most of our carpets. If you love a specific design, but would like it in a different size or in different colours – we definitely can make that happen. And if you have a design of your own that you want to make into a carpet, we can do that too – just send us a bespoke order request!
